    Wheelz connects people who share their car with people who need them.   • How do I sign up?

    Click here to sign up on our website, or via our iPhone app. A driver’s license number is required to complete the process.

  • How much does it cost?

    Each car has hourly and daily prices that are set by the car’s owner. If someone is interested in a longer-term reservation, we can help coordinate a weekly price.

  • How is insurance handled?

    All reservations are covered by Wheelz’ comprehensive million dollar insurance policy. Wheelz members are covered from the minute their reservation begins. In no way is a car owner’s personal automobile insurance affected.

  • What is required to get my car ready to start making money?

    Wheelz installs its DriveBox allowing Wheelz members to lock and unlock using our iPhone app or Wheelz card. The installation takes a couple hours but doesn’t cost the car owner anything. We also provide a Wheelz Key Box that is kept in your glove box or center console containing an ignition key.

  • How does gas work?

    Wheelz members must refuel the car anytime it goes below ¼ tank using the gas card in the Key Box. Car owners are responsible for the cost of gas - which is deducted from total earnings every month. Included in the reservation period is 15 miles of driving per hour or 120 miles per day. Beyond the mileage limit, drivers are charged 40 cents/mi that is paid to the car owner to cover additional gas and wear & tear.

OWNER RULE #1

Be real.

Be Greek at a toga party. Make moves like Jagger on 70s night. Be real on Wheelz and accurately represent yourself and your car.

OWNER RULE #2

Update your calendar.

Planning ahead probably isn’t your priority right now. But schedule when you need your car...it will seriously pay off.

OWNER RULE #3

Maintain your ride.

No wonder the French chose cars to be feminine objects... they can be high-maintenance. When she needs an oil change, give her one. If she’s acting weird, find out why. Treat her right and spoil her, she’ll love you unconditionally.

OWNER RULE #4

Keep it clean.

Finding unexpected dirty socks in the back seat is super awesome sometimes. Wait, no, no it’s not. Keep your ride clean and set the standard for the people borrowing your car.

OWNER RULE #5

Contact us with any problems.

We’re not your parents. We don’t care how your classes are going or who you’re dating. We do care about keeping you and your ride safe. Give the Wheelz Pit Crew a call.

DRIVER RULE #1

Inspect and report.

Even if you drive like Grandma, stuff can still happen to your ride. Inspect the car before you drive and always report any damage to the Wheelz Pit Crew.

DRIVER RULE #2

Treat her nice.

Keep it clean and respectful, or there won’t be any more action coming your way. Wheelz cars are owned by your peers, not a rental car company.

DRIVER RULE #3

Fill ‘er up.

Unlike you, cars don’t run on Red Bull and adrenalin. Below a quarter tank, fill ‘er up with the Wheelz gas card that’s kept in every car.

DRIVER RULE #4

Return on time.

Being fashionably late to a party is sweet - you avoid awkward conversations while looking important. Returning a car late isn’t...it’ll cost you and leave others hangin’. Definitely not sweet.

DRIVER RULE #5

Rate it.

Turn the tables, it’s your turn to dish out the grades. After returning from a trip, recommend the sweet ride you borrowed to your friends.
